Oregon Trail Gravel Logistics Just Got A Whole Lot Easier!

From Airport Shuttles, Race Headquarters, Start/Finish Line, & Host Hotel- It has never been easier to OTG!

Oregon Trail is one of the most complex and challenging gravel events in North America to produce, covering 350 miles of Oregon’s scenic and wild backcountry gravel roads.  It is our mission at Team Breakaway, to make the logistics for each and every rider easy so that they can focus on nothing more than pedaling some of the most amazing gravel roads in North America for 5 days straight!  We are incredibly excited with what we have planned for the 2024 Oregon Trail Gravel Stage Race.

For 2024 getting here and onto the trail just got a whole lot easier!

NEW START/FINISH LINE

We are excited to announce that we are partnering with Oregon State University to use their Cascades Campus in Bend, Oregon as our official race start and finish location.  Located on Bend’s westside the campus is a beautiful facility that will play host to the grand departure of this year’s Oregon Trail on Wednesday June 26th.

PARKING AT OSU

We have secured parking for all participants who drive to the race starting Wednesday June 26th through Sunday June 30th.  OSU Cascades parking has both security cameras and personnel onsite to help add extra protection of your vehicles.

RACE HQ & HOST HOTEL- HOTEL PEPPERTREE

For those flying to the event we encourage you to book lodging at our official host hotel, the Best Western Peppertree.  Not only will the host hotel be offering a significant discount on rooms they are also located just a quarter mile away from the official race start at Oregon State University Bend Campus.

If you are staying at the host hotel we will have our staff come and pick up your travel bins from the hotel so that you can simply pedal the quarter mile from your hotel room to the official race start on Wednesday morning.  The host hotel will also offer secure storage of your luggage and anything else you need to leave behind while you are on the trail. After you finish stage 5 on Sunday, your travel bin will be waiting at the hotel for you if you are staying at the Hotel Peppertree Best Western, as well as any stored luggage you left behind.

FINISH LINE PARTY IN BEND

Oregon State University’s incredible chefs will be preparing this year’s final meal after stage 5 saving the best for last.  In addition, we have secured dorm rooms that will be converted to changing and shower facilities for any athlete needing to clean up before the final party or rinsing the dust off before driving or flying home.

FLYING IN?  WE WILL PICK YOU UP!

How does it get even easier or better than that?  How about a $10 shuttle service from the Bend/Redmond Airport to the host hotel both before and after the race!  We have set up extremely affordable shuttle service on both Monday June 24th and Tuesday June 25th from the Bend/Redmond Airport (RDM) to the host hotel.

We will also have shuttles serving riders on Monday July 1st from the hotel back to the airport.  The cost is ONLY $10 per rider per shuttle!  To reserve your shuttle click here.

We know that taking on the challenge of 5 epic days in the mountains and forests of Oregon can be daunting so we want to make sure your logistics of getting here and leaving are as easy as possible.  What other event offers to pick you up from the airport?!

EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS SO CLOSE!

Check out our map of Bend and Race HQ.  We've marked some key spots you'll want for pre and post race, including the host hotel (HQ), Sagebrush Cycles bike shop, grocery store and coffee, the start/finish line, and our favorite swimming hole!  All walking distance from the Hotel Peppertree Best Western.
