SAGEBRUSH CYCLES BIKE SHIP PROGRAM

Say hello to stress-free race week with the Sagebrush Cycles Bike Ship & Build Program.

Getting your bike to Oregon Trail Gravel could be as smooth as a freshly graded gravel road. Ship your bike straight to the shop and let the pros take it from there.

The Sagebrush Cycles crew will unpack your bike, build it to spec, and give it a solid once-over with a basic tune-up so it’s race-ready when you arrive. No cardboard chaos, no hotel-room wrenching, no last-minute panic.

They’ll even store your bike box and packing materials during the event- because who wants to keep track of a bike box when you are on the trail? After you’ve conquered the miles and crossed the finish line, they’ll take your bike from you and bring it back to the shop. The mechanics will inspect it, carefully break it down, and repack it for the journey home. You ride. They wrench. Everyone wins. 🚴‍♀️✨

Less logistics. More gravel. More fun.

Rider must contact the shop directly to confirm details, payment, and shipping label address.  Bikes shipped to the shop without a reservation on books will NOT be built or transported to the rider.  If you’d like to ship your bike to the shop and build it yourself, you  MUST contact the shop for approval and planning.

Rider's responsibility:

  • Please ship the bicycle only and only include the items you will be needing on the bike. We will accept a helmet and shoes, and up to 2 empty water bottles, but please no other clothing or accessories.

  • Rider MUST include a printed and protected RETURN SHIPPING LABEL clearly marked as such within the bike packaging.  We suggest putting it in a ziplock bag.

  • Any dirty bottles left on the bike will be DISPOSED OF upon drop-off after the race.

  • Please do not use any "non-standard" packing materials such as towels, tissue, newspaper, etc.  Foam tubing and cardboard will be your best packing materials.

  • Use your best judgment when packing your bike.  Assume that the carrier you choose doesn't care how expensive or how important it is.  Treat it as the special jewel that it is.  You have to spend a lot of time hanging out with (and on) it over the next week.

Shop responsibility:

  • We will receive the bike and build it in time for the race

  • During the build, we will provide a basic tune-up and safety check to include, but not limited to, brake pads, rotor thickness, chain wear, battery level (where applicable), derailleur and shifting function, wheel true and spoke tension, and bolt tightness throughout the bicycle.  If we find any issues we feel will not allow you to complete the event we will reach out via your preferred contact method with a quote to repair.

  • We will store the packaging material during the race in a secure site and reuse it for packaging your bike to return.

  • Upon completion of the race we will assess the wear of the bike and make suggestions as to replacements and provide a quote for any work to bring the bike back up to standards.  The race can easily wear through a chain, brake pads, and rotors as well as shifter batteries and power meter batteries.  We will only perform service specifically authorized by the rider.

  • After any post-race work that we perform, we will repackage the bicycle to be shipped out within seven days following the event.  Please remember that we have as many as 20 bikes to service and pack and we don't rush.  We do it right.
