Gear Tote

Team Breakaway moves all of your gear from the start line to camp each night- all you do is ride!! You will receive a gear tote at packet pickup to pack all of your needed items.  We will transport it from the start line to the first camp at Gilchrist, then from the camp that day to the next camps.  When you roll into camp, you can pick up your numbered tote and settle in to camp for the day.  In the morning, you’ll just bring your packed tote back to us, we’ll load it, and have it waiting for you at the next spot.

GEAR TOTES

Each rider is given their gear tote(s) at packet pickup.  We will have number-specific labels as an identifier for your bin.  The labels will be color-coded for the associated loading zone as well.  Bins will be taken off the bin truck and placed in order at the designated pickup area.

If you want to lock your bin, it will take 4 locks to secure the lid to the tote.

Bins cannot weigh more than 50lbs. We must protect the backs of our volunteers and staff! We will weigh each bin before we load it on Wednesday morning to confirm its weight.

We are at capacity for bins, therefore you may not be able to purchase an additional bin at packeet pickup.

  • YOU WILL BE CHARGED $2 FOR EACH POUND OVER 50LB AND MUST PAY THE BALANCE BEFORE WE LOAD YOUR BIN IN THE MORNING.  Your bin will be reweighted, and you will be charged the same rate each time it is over 50lbs.

  • When you get to the first camp, find a friend with a lighter bin and pack some in their bag to help lighten your weight.

Bins will be collected at the following times:

  • Tuesday 3-7 pm- at packet pickup in the bin pickup area. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this option if you can do it.

    • You may bring a camp drop bag to us on Wednesday morning if needed.

  • Wednesday

    • 6:00-7:00 am- Shuttle pickup/parking at 7th Mountain

    • 7:30-9:30 am- Race Start at Sister
